The Aquafog GT-500 centrifugal fogging system is designed for industrial humidification, evaporative cooling, and environmental control in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, agricultural operations, and commercial spaces where OSHA-compliant equipment and reliable fogging performance are required.
Unlike high-pressure misting systems or air-assisted nozzle foggers, the GT-500 uses Jaybird’s centrifugal atomization technology to produce fine fog particles without clogging nozzles or requiring high-pressure pumps. The 14-inch industrial atomizer produces fog that evaporates quickly for effective cooling and humidity control.
The GT-500 was engineered for facilities where the stronger propulsion of the Turbo XE series is not required. By using a milder fan blade pitch and an OSHA-compliant safety guard, the GT-500 provides dependable fogging performance while maintaining safe operation in occupied workspaces.

By combining centrifugal fogging technology with an OSHA-compliant guard and fully assembled design, the GT-500 provides dependable fogging performance while simplifying installation and maintenance.
GT 500-DF come with a visual flowmeter panel of your choice.
The flowmeter panel connects to a pressurized water supply and allows the operator to monitor and adjust the water feed rate going to the GT atomizer. A precision needle valve regulates the flow, while the clear polycarbonate meter provides easy visual confirmation of system operation.
Because the GT operates over a lower overall flow range than the XE, selecting the correct flowmeter range is especially important. For best reliability, choose the smallest flowmeter that still covers your intended operating range. This keeps the needle valve operating in a more open position and helps reduce restriction from ordinary sediment or biological buildup sometimes present in water supplies.
Lower feed rates generally produce a drier, finer fog. Higher feed rates produce heavier fog, larger droplets, and more drain-off.

Selection Tip: If in doubt, do not automatically choose the largest flowmeter. Select the smallest meter that comfortably covers your intended feed rate.
Important: At higher feed rates, excess water is discharged through the drain tube and droplet size increases. Lower-range meters are generally preferred for drier fog and finer performance, while higher-range meters are better suited when maximum GT output is needed.

How Jaybird Atomizes Water Without Nozzles
Jaybird fog systems use a patented centrifugal atomizing blade developed in 1986. Water enters a reservoir behind the fan blade and is forced through internal channels inside each blade. As the blade spins, centrifugal force drives water toward the blade tips where it exits through precision openings.
At the blade tip, several processes occur simultaneously:
The rotating blade atomizes the water into fine droplets
A venturi accelerates airflow around the blade
A ring of atomizing pins further breaks droplets into fog
Particle size is variable and desired size can be controlled by the feed rate
This multi-stage atomization process allows Jaybird systems to produce large volumes of fog while using a simple, reliable design with no high-pressure pumps or clogging nozzles.

Ideal for interior applications and when hanging for permanent installation, consider the use of an Oscillator. The sweeping action of a fogging unit not only alleviates droplet collisions and fallout, but also enhances air circulation. The steady, continuous movement provides for uniform coverage patterns up to 70 feet in diameter. This allows the operator to fog at higher output levels than a stationary unit operating under equal conditions, resulting in less fallout and improved dryness underneath the fog pattern.
