The Aquafog XE ORSM-2000 industrial odor control fogging system is a high-output centrifugal unit designed for chemical injection fogging, oxidizer dispersal, and facility sterilization. Built around Jaybird’s powerful XE centrifugal atomizer, the ORSM delivers strong fog propulsion and consistent droplet dispersion for large-area treatment applications.
Unlike conventional nozzle or high-pressure fogging systems, the ORSM uses Jaybird’s nozzle-free centrifugal atomization technology, eliminating clogged nozzles while producing extremely fine fog particles and wide coverage.
The ORSM is specifically configured for metering-pump chemical injection. Concentrated odor-control or treatment chemicals are injected directly into the water line feeding the atomizer rather than into the tank, allowing precise dosing while the unit operates continuously from a water supply.
When connected to a garden hose with automatic float fill, the ORSM can operate for extended periods with minimal supervision. In many odor-control installations, a metering pump draws chemical from a supply drum and injects it into the system, allowing the unit to run for weeks before chemical replenishment is required.
High-Output Fogging in Action
Many industrial odor-control programs rely on metering pumps to precisely dose concentrated treatment chemicals into a water stream. The XE ORSM-2000 is designed to integrate directly into this type of system.
Instead of mixing chemicals into the tank, a metering pump injects a controlled amount of chemical into the water line feeding the atomizer. This allows the system to operate continuously while maintaining precise chemical ratios.
In typical odor-control installations, the ORSM is connected to a water supply with automatic float fill, while a metering pump draws concentrated chemical from a supply drum and injects it into the system. This configuration allows the unit to operate for extended periods with minimal supervision, making it ideal for municipal and industrial odor-control programs.
This configuration is commonly used in rendering plants, wastewater treatment facilities, and municipal odor mitigation programs.

The Jaybird XE ORSM-2000 is widely used in industrial environments requiring continuous odor control and chemical fogging. By combining centrifugal atomization with metering-pump chemical injection, the system provides precise dosing and wide fog dispersion without the maintenance issues common with nozzle-based systems.
Typical applications include:
The ORSM is particularly well suited for outdoor odor control installations where continuous operation and wide fog coverage are required. When paired with a metering pump and chemical supply drum, the system can operate unattended for extended periods while maintaining consistent treatment levels.

The ORSM uses a rugged electrical-mechanical control system designed for dependable operation in industrial and greenhouse environments. Instead of circuit boards or solid-state electronics, the control box relies on heavy-duty switches and contactors, allowing the unit to run on standard AC power while remaining simple to service and integrate with external timers or facility control systems.
POWER CONTROL MODES The main selector provides three operating positions:
OFF – disconnects power to the system.
ON – allows manual operation or control through external timers, computers, or automation systems.
AUTO SHUT-OFF – automatically shuts the unit down when the tank level becomes low, protecting the pump from running dry.
Fan Override for Pump Calibration - A fan override switch allows the pump to operate without the fogging fan. This feature helps operators measure pump output and calibrate liquid delivery rates, allowing accurate control of chemical application and treatment duration when using timers or automated systems.

The ORSM uses a dual-valve flow control system that provides both restricted flow and adjustable higher output. When the secondary valve (small valve) is closed, the system still delivers a preset restricted flow of about 2 GPH through an internal restrictor. This flow rate supports many common chemical applications and allows proper fogging when the head is angled upward.
By opening and calibrating the secondary valve, operators can increase the maximum flow rate while using the primary valve (large valve) for everyday adjustment and shutoff. This arrangement allows operators to preset a preferred operating range and easily control output during normal operation.

The CRSM includes a metering pump inlet for applications where operators want to inject concentrate into the liquid flow before it reaches the fogging head. While more commonly used in chemical dosing applications, this port gives the CRSM added flexibility for specialized treatment setups.

The ORSM uses an internal pump to deliver chemical solution from the tank to the fogging head. A built-in fluid level switch monitors the tank level and automatically shuts the system down in Auto Shut-off mode when the solution level becomes too low.
This protection prevents the pump from running dry and allows operators to safely run the system without constant monitoring.
The pump draws solution from near the bottom of the tank and will empty most of the contents during operation. After automatic shut-off, approximately 0.75 gallon of solution remains in the tank.
If an application requires removing nearly all liquid from the tank, consider the CRSM which is designed to recover nearly the entire tank volume.

The (SST) version includes all stainless-steel plumbing components installed in place of standard brass fittings. This option is recommended when fogging highly corrosive chemicals or sanitation solutions.
